Lecturer of Office Administration Education Study Program Performs Community Service in Kampoeng Emas Plumbungan

The Service Team from the Office Administration Education Study Program FE UNY held a Community Service (PPM) activity in Plumbungan Hamlet, Putat, Patuk, Gunungkidul. The service team consists of Mr. Drs. Purwanto, M.M., M.Pd. as the head of the service team and consists of 3 lecturers, namely Mrs. Siti Umi Khayatun Mardiyah, M.Pd., Mr. Arwan Nur Ramadhan, M.Pd., and Mrs. Rr. Chusnu Syarifa Diah Kusuma, M.Sc. and 2 student members, namely Linda Andriani and Beni Mulyadi.

Plumbungan hamlet is located in Putat Village, Patuk District, Gunungkidul Regency. Locations around the Nglangeran Ancient Volcano and Mask Craft Tourism Village, where most of the residents work as farmers. The character of the community's gotong royong life is still very thick and strong. Most of the land is in the form of agricultural fields. Social life among residents is very harmonious, peaceful and supported by a safe environment. The younger generation has a high willingness and motivation to develop the area where they live. With various potential carrying capacities, Plumbungan hamlet can be developed into a nature tourism hamlet without leaving the existing values ​​of life.

PPM activities were carried out starting on September 24, 2016 which began by providing theories and concepts about tourism village administration. The PPM activity began with remarks from the head of the service team who conveyed the intent and purpose of coming to the Plumbungan gold village, then continued with a speech by the Plumbungan Village Head represented by the Pokdarwis Plumbungan Chair, Mr. Sutarto who said that this kind of PPM activity was very helpful and very needed to development of the plumbungan tourism village. The next event presented PPM materials as follows: 1) Administration and bookkeeping management in the development of tourism village businesses; 2) Business and business administration concepts and systems; 3) Explore the potential and provide excellent service as a marketing strategy in tourist villages. Materials for administration and bookkeeping management in the development of tourism village businesses were delivered by Drs. Purwanto, M.M., M.Pd. The material on the concept of business and business administration systems was delivered by Mrs. Rr. Chusnu Syarifa Diah Kusuma, M.Sc. and Materials to explore potential and provide excellent service as a marketing strategy in tourist villages were delivered by Mr. Arwan Nur Ramadhan, M.Pd. The collaborative material was delivered to 25 PPM participants from Plumbungan Hamlet, Putat, Patuk, Gunungkidul. The enthusiasm of the participants was very high, seen from the presence and activity during the implementation and mentoring of PPM activities. At the end of the PPM activity session, the PPM chairman gave a few examples of the forms needed to manage the administration of the tourist village. The forms submitted include: incoming cash book, outgoing cash book, receipts, notes, and several other forms.

The friendly session was followed by lunch together. Lunch with typical food of the Kampoeng Emas Plumbungan culinary tourism village, namely "Blessings of the Dalem". The mainstay culinary wizard of the Plumbungan tourist village is “Brekat Dalem” which consists of sompil, anchovy peyek, wedang sere, Plumbungan wedang, tea pot, or mineral drinks in a jug. “Berkat Dalem” is usually served at Clean Village events and other local traditional ceremonies. Typical food in the form of ingkung Javanese chicken, vegetables, side dishes, savory rice (nasi uduk) served with a nest made of janur (coconut leaves) in a simple hut in the middle of the rice fields.
